The Pantiles is buzzing with excitement as the first phase of Lemons Bar’s renovation in Tunbridge Wells has been successfully completed. With opening night looming, The JJ Group stepped in to breathe new life into this space. We spruced things up while sticking to the owner’s vision. Let’s delve into the journey of renewal that unfolded during this Bar Renovation in Tunbridge Wells.
Bar Area Renovation
The focal point of the ground floor was the long bar, which was looking worn and begging for some attention. The bar needed stripping, sanding and then re-varnishing. Now it shines like new! This was all carried out in-house as, structurally, there was no need to dismantle or replace any elements. With two coats of varnish the bar area is now gleaming!
To match the main bar, we carried out the same process on the shelving bar behind the bar. After receiving the same treatment, they look rustic yet sturdy. With industrial steel brackets, these shelves stand as a testament to craftsmanship and functionality.
Feature Fire Place
The last area we renovated upstairs was the feature fireplace. A wooden mantle to match the bar, plus some exposed brickwork, gave it a cosy vibe that fits right in. And we painted all the panelling around the seating area to freshen things up.
Transforming the Lounge Area
Venturing downstairs, the transformation continued into the lounge areas. Wallpaper hanging and a fresh coat of paint gave the space a whole new comfortable style. Even the cloakrooms received a facelift, ensuring that every corner of the bar exudes sophistication and charm.
Adapting to the Client
Being conscious that this is a new enterprise, the budget is tight. The JJ Group focused on the essentials, delivering a fresh ambience that aligned perfectly with the owner’s desired style. We have already arranged to return to complete the next phase of the refurbishment – renovating the several staircases in the building.
